Isla de Coche
South of Margarita, is this arid island; it rises 60 meters above sea level, it has 11 km long and 6 wide. It forms the Villalba Municipality, and its Capital is San Pedro de Coche. Flat waters, warm temperatures and steady winds on a beach that has already hosted the PKRA World Tour.

Al sur de Margarita, se encuentra esta árida isla; se eleva a 60 metros sobre el nivel del mar, tiene 11 Km de longitud y 6 de ancho. Conforma el Municipio Villalba, y su Capital es San Pedro de Coche. Agua plana, temperaturas cálidas y vientos constantes en una playa que ya ha hospedado el Tour Mundial de la PKRA.
How to get there / Como llegar
Located 8 km south El Yaque. A small fishing boat with an awning makes the trip from the dock at Playa El Yaque (very close to the airport in Margarita) in 30 minutes. If you prefer to take your car, you can board the ferry Maria Libre for a quiet crossing two hours from the ferry terminal in Punta de Piedra, Margarita. Another possibility is offered from the dock of the bay of Concorde Hotel, along with other tourists in one of the sailboats, yachts and catamarans, with music and drinks included. You can also go straight in plane or helicopter, as there is an airstrip near the hotels of 1,200 meters long.
Situada a 8 km al sur de El Yaque. Un peñero con toldo realiza la travesía desde el muelle de Playa El Yaque (muy cercano al aeropuerto de Margarita) en 30 minutos. Si prefiere llevar su carro, puede abordar el ferry María Libre para una tranquila travesía de dos horas y media desde el terminal de ferries en Punta de Piedra, Margarita. Otra posibilidad se ofrece desde el muelle de la bahía del Hotel Concorde, junto con otros turistas en uno de los veleros, yates o catamaranes, con música y tragos incluidos. También puede llegar directo en avioneta o helicóptero, ya que existe una pista cercana a los hoteles de 1.200 metros de largo.

The climate: Coches’ climate is warm with temperatures of 28 °C, which makes it pleasant throughout the year.
El viento: El viento es offshore dando lugar a un agua absolutamente plana. Un bote de rescate está en vigilancia constantemente, para los que tengan problemas. Fuertes vientos especialmente entre Diciembre y Junio.
La playa: A lo largo de su costa se encuentran playas de inmensa belleza como Playa la Punta, San Pedro, El Amor y Los Cocos. Playa La Punta es la más bella y la favorita de los practicantes de kitesurf y windsurf, con aguas tranquilas y transparentes y 310 metros de arenas suaves y blanquecinas.
El clima: El clima de coche es cálido con temperaturas de 28 °C, que le hace placentera todo el año.
